For best viewing, you should first open your browser's window
to the full width of your computer screen. You may need to adjust your
screen resolution as well. This site is
designed for a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. To
set your computer monitor's
screen resolution to 1024 x 768 pixels or a higher setting, locate the type
of computer you have
from the list below and then follow the directions. It may also be helpful
to print out these directions.
PCs with Windows
XP
- Select the Control
Panel from the Start menu
- Select Appearance
and Themes
- Select Change the
screen resolution
- In the Display/Properties
area, move the lever beneath Screen resolution until 1024 x 768 pixels
or a higher setting and click OK.
- After changing
the screen resolution, a dialog box will ask you if you want to keep
this setting. Click Yes to keep the setting.
PCs with Windows
95/98/Me/2000 (most shipyard computers are this)
- Select
Settings from the Start menu.
- Select the Control
Panel option from the Settings Menu.
- Select the Display
option from the Control Panel.
- Select the Settings
tab.
- In the Desktop/Screen
area, move the lever until 1024 x 768 pixels or a higher setting and
click OK.
- A message will
appear indicating that Windows will resize your desktop, and that it
might take a few seconds and click OK.
- After changing
the screen resolution, a dialog box will ask you if you want to keep
this setting. Click Yes to keep the setting.
Apple / Macintosh
- Go to the Apple
Menu --> Control Panels, and choose Monitors.
- Click
on the Monitor icon at the top of the control panel and then choose
either 1024 x 768 resolution or a higher setting.
NOTE: With
the older Mac operating systems, go to the Apple Menu --> Control
Panels, and choose Monitors. Then choose Options, and choose the 1024
x 768 resolution or a higher setting.
