New Hire Community of Practice ( NHCoP)

Northrop Grumman Newport News recognizes new hires are the future of our organization and that networking with peers and management is essential to their growth and professional success. The New Hire Community of Practice (NHCoP) has been developed for new hires by new hires to encourage communication and knowledge sharing. Community members are invited to participate in a wide range of activities from tours of various shipyard facilities and active Navy vessels, community service activities, executive interaction, and offsite social engagements. The community has over 400 members across the shipyard and it continues to grow as more activities are planned. Overall, the community provides benefits to the company through employee networking, and to community members by providing them an opportunity to meet new people and becoming acclimated to the company and the Hampton Roads area.
