Newport News Shipbuilding
(NNS) officials recently visited Hampton University (HU) in
Hampton, Va., to make the second $50,000 contribution in the
company's six-year pledge in support of the school's engineering
programs. In 1999, Newport News Shipbuilding pledged $300,000
over a six-year period to support Hampton University's engineering
programs. Pictured at HU is: Bob Gunter, NNS vice president
of Engineering; Dr. Morris Morgan, dean of the School of Engineering
and Technology at HU; Dr. William R. Harvey, president, HU;
and Al Little, NNS vice president of Human Resources, Environmental,
Health and Safety.
