CARNIVAL CRUISE LINE’S
FANTASY ARRIVES AT
NEWPORT NEWS SHIPBUILDING
NEWPORT NEWS, Va., September 19, 2000 – Newport
News Shipbuilding announced today that the Carnival
Cruise Lines ship, Fantasy, arrived at Newport
News Shipbuilding (NYSE: NNS) on Saturday, September
16, 2000, for a nine-day period of work.

Owned and operated by Carnival Cruise Lines
based in Miami, Fla., Fantasy will undergo work
to include survey of underwater equipment; underwater
hull blasting and coating; inspection of bow and stern
thrusters; maintenance on propulsion systems; and routine
interior maintenance. One of Carnival Cruise Lines’ smaller
ships, Fantasy is 856 feet long and 104 feet wide
and cruises from Florida to the Bahamas.

U.S. Navy and provides life-cycle services for ships in
