(CVN 76) Crew Move Aboard Ceremony and Employee Recognition Lunch

Reagan, eldest son of President Ronald Reagan, joined 2,500
sailors from the aircraft carrier Ronald Reagan (CVN
76) in a ceremony marking the move aboard of the crew October
30. Crew move aboardis a significant milestone for the
sailors who will serve aboard the ship. For the first time,
the crew will be working, sleeping and eating aboard the
carrier.

(CVN 76) Commanding Officer Captain John W. Goodwin (left) and
Michael Reagan participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony,
opening the galley that will serve the crew for the 50-year
life of the ship.
Northrop Grumman Newport News held an employee
luncheon in the hangar bay of the Reagan to recognize
the shipbuilders who've worked so hard to get the ship ready
for the crew move aboard. Employees were treated to lunch and
received t-shirts and buttons.
