Northrop Grumman Promotes Mike
Marlow
to Director of Newport News Industrial
NEWPORT NEWS – June 6, 2006 –
Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has promoted
Mike Marlow to director of Newport News Industrial Corporation
(NNI), a company within Northrop Grumman’s Newport
News sector. NNI ranks among the nation's leading specialty
service contractors, focusing its skills primarily on
valve and boiler water circulating pump services.
In his new position, Marlow will be responsible
for all operations of NNI, the development of new business,
and supporting a wide range of shipyard tasks. He reports
to Bob Gunter, senior vice president of operations at
Northrop Grumman Newport News.
“Mike's background and experiences
with nuclear operations from previous assignments in the
Navy and General Electric make him well suited for this
position,” Gunter said.
Marlow began his career at Newport News
in 1996 as director of business development and has held
positions in marketing and product development and NNI
field operations. Before beginning his career with Newport
News, Marlow held management positions with Westinghouse
and General Electric and is also a former U.S. Navy submariner.
Marlow earned a bachelor’s degree
in nuclear technology from Excelsior College. He resides
in Poquoson, Va.
