Northrop Grumman Promotes Mike
O'Donnell to
Director in the Process Excellence Organization
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Sept. 20, 2006
– Northrop Grumman Corporation’s (NYSE: NOC)
Newport News sector has promoted Mike O’Donnell
to director of steel value stream for the process excellence
organization. In his new position, he will be responsible
for strengthening shipyard processes, improving costs
and working with employees to drive continuous improvements.
He reports to Jennifer Boykin, vice president
of process excellence at Northrop Grumman Newport News.
“Mike’s knowledge and background is invaluable
to the process excellence program,” said Boykin.
“His focus and drive will ensure continuous improvement
in our steel processes.”
O’Donnell has been working at Newport
News for over 20 years and has held various positions
of increasing responsibility in engineering, facilities
and manufacturing. Prior to this appointment, O’Donnell
served as the production control manager for the structural
fabrication and assembly division.
O’Donnell earned a bachelor’s
degree in industrial engineering from the University of
Wisconsin and a master’s of business administration
from Old Dominion University. He resides in Newport News.
