NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – November 13, 2006
– Northrop Grumman Corporation’s (NYSE: NOC)
Newport News sector has promoted Glenn Morgan to director
of nuclear construction engineering, materials engineering
and standardization. In his new position, he will be responsible
for providing engineering, design, and material support
for various aircraft carrier and submarine programs. He
will also oversee the standardization of procedures within
nuclear and test engineering. He reports to Rolf Bartschi,
vice president and chief nuclear engineer of waterfront
nuclear engineering and test at Northrop Grumman Newport
News.
“Glenn brings a wealth of knowledge
and experience to his new position,” said Bartschi.
“I am confident his leadership will have a positive
impact on our organization.”
Prior to this appointment Morgan served
as manager of reactor services. He began working at Newport
News in 1988 as a refueling engineer and has held a variety
of positions of increasing responsibility including lead
engineer, engineering supervisor and engineering manager.
Morgan earned a bachelor’s degree
in mechanical engineering from North Carolina State University.
He currently resides in Virginia Beach, Va.
