VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - August 21, 2007 - Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has made three appointments at AMSEC LLC. AMSEC, a full-service provider of engineering, logistics and technical support services primarily to Navy ship programs, is a subsidiary of Northrop Grumman's Newport News sector.

Gary W. Zwirschitz was appointed director of strategic planning and business development. He will be responsible for all strategic business development and proposal activities across AMSEC's business areas. Preceding his civilian career, Zwirschitz served in the U.S. Navy for 30 years, retiring as the chief of staff for Commander Naval Surface Forces, U.S. Atlantic Fleet. Zwirschitz received his bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin and his master's of business administration from The George Washington University.

David A. Streett has been promoted to director of operations for the logistics and engineering services operation. He will be responsible for all aspects of the $90 million enterprise, managing more than 800 employees to include logisticians, naval architects, engineers, analysts, training specialists and supply chain specialists. Streett received his bachelor's degree in business administration and management from Averett University.

Kelly J. Carlan was promoted to director of human resources. She is responsible for overseeing human resources activities including benefits, compensation, staffing, employee relations, and operations for over 2,400 employees in more than 22 locations worldwide. Carlan received her bachelor's degree from Old Dominion University and is currently pursuing a master's of business administration.

These appointments follow the successful restructuring of the Northrop Grumman and Science Applications International Corporation [NYSE: SAI] joint venture, AMSEC LLC, which divided the company along customer and product lines.
